ICFF, New York - 2010
This was JDL’s first time exhibiting at the Jacob Javits Centre during the New York Design week. Two circular plywood rigs were mounted onto the wall with three Motorlight Wall lights on each to create a triangular to a hexagonal light effect whilst in constant operation and demonstrating the operational functions of the dimmability and synchronicity of the lights.
Both products were displayed to the public during the fair and received a great amount of interest.

100% Design, London - 2009
As a result of the interest generated with the exhibition at Focal Shift we were invited to construct a feature for 100% Design 2009. This feature was the largest Focal Shift installation consisting of 8 rigs containing 48 Motorlight Wall lights.
The exhibit was hoisted 20 feet above the restaurant creating an altar of light within the Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre.

Pomegranite Gallery, New York - 2009
This was a Focal Shift art installation designed with Jason Bruges Studio to demonstrate the complex function of the Motorlight Wall DMX/Computer programmable version. Designed and constructed of 6 3 metre high by 1.5 metre CNC’ed plywood rigs to conceal 6 Motorlight wall units within each rig in a circular formation.
The effect was an inspirational and dramatic angle adjusting light show held to mark the launch of the Motorlight products in New York during the New York Design week.

The UK launch of the CSYS LED task light was held at Designjunction in Victoria House, Holborn. This was the first opportunity for media, trade and public to view and discover the CSYS LED light and the feedback was encouraging.
Visitors to our stand were invited to take part in a heat pipe experiment to see for themselves how the heat is conducted along the copper pipe keeping the LEDs in the CSYS task light cool.
